August 18, 2026With the next academic chapter on the horizon, Doon International School, New Chandigarh hosted a special orientation session for the parents of Grade X students.
The session commenced with an insightful address by Mrs. Vipanjot Sehdeva, Principal, who highlighted the importance of academic excellence, focused preparation and continued parental support during this crucial phase. She also informed parents about the school’s decision to launch the Grade XI programme, marking an important step in expanding academic opportunities for students within the school.
Mrs. Davinder Kaur, Dean of Academics, addressed the parents and shared valuable insights into academic expectations, subject choices and key aspects of the upcoming *Grade XI programme.
Adding further value to the session, Mrs. Tania Dhillon, Head of the Career Counselling Division at Silver Fern Education Consultants, guided parents on making informed career choices and selecting pathways aligned with their children’s interests, strengths and aspirations.
The session served as a meaningful platform to prepare parents and students for a smooth transition to Grade XI and to help them make confident decisions about their academic and career journeys.
